This module allows two way communication between HDL Bus Pro and RS232 and/or RS485, and IP/UDP.
Connect any third party system which supports RS232, RS485 or TCP/IP to your HDL Bus Pro network. Definable baud rate, stop / parity bit.
Input
Define input strings (text) to be recognised by the module. Optional, line-feed, carriage return and delimiter options are available.
Each string can support up 20 output control commands, which are user definable and can be sent to any module, such as Dimmer, Relay, Logic Module, Sensor, etc.
Output
Define “Universal Switches”, and associate RS232/RS485 strings that are to be sent when the Universal Switch is received. Simply program your HDL devices (whether Switches, Sensors, Logic Module, iPad, etc) to send the corresponding switch “on” or “off” and the module will send the associated string.
Please note that direct feedback, for example the exact dim state of a dimmer, cannot be inherently read using this method. However with some clever programming and the logic module, it is possible to achieve feedback of most functions.
